A movie post for today.
Reasons to see this Mahesh Dattani movie:
- A look into the world of the lives a couple who are both dancers.
- Shobhana looks great.
- It is shot entirely in Bangalore.
Downsides:
- Poor editing and mediocre cinematography.


This Mahesh Dattani movie is much better technically than the earlier one. Reasons to watch this one:
- Shabhana Azmi.Period.
- Amazing locations:West Godavari district in Andhra Pradesh.
- Constant background Carnatic music.
- Pretty good description of Post -Traumatic Stress Disorder.
Downsides:
- Dattani has not yet left his theatre 'frame of mind' completely. There are many moments in the movie which seem a little abrupt. As if the actors are going backstage ,changing and getting back!


Reasons to watch this one:
- No one bursts into singing and dancing. All songs are in the background. Thank God!
- Delhi in all its glory!
- Numerous good looking heroes...sigh...
- Slick editing and cinematography
- Makes one think about where India is headed.
Downsides:
- The end is not particularly well thought through. Though it is obvious the director wants us to come to our own conclusion, I felt the story could have ended on a more realistic note. Neverthless,I will be watching it again.
