Sail away with me honey,I put my heart in your hands, sail away with me honey... now,now,now...

Please start reading from the bottom of the post. The photographs will make more sense.

Cutty Sark at Greenwich
Gins sails away...with her man...
Approaching Greenwich...
Canary Wharf, London's swanky buisness district looks like this from the river
View from the deck
Coffee on the deck
View of the London Bridge from the boat
Finally on the Thames!
Sluicing at the mouth of the docks...
Open!
Waiting for the bridge to let us go
At St.Katherine's docks, near Tower Bridge, London

You know the feeling when a song kinda gets stuck in your head?
It happened to me last tuesday morning.
Gins my classmate from Amsterdam was going back home.
Her husband came to take her back.
In a sailing boat.
He sailed into London.
Spent 3-4 days with her in London.
They will sail back to Amsterdam after taking breaks along the Thames till it opens up into the English Channel. They must be just planning to start their journey from the UK to the Netherlands tomorrow morning.

Last tuesday she took four of us (including Aj) from London Bridge to Greenwich (takes about an hour,)after which she sailed away...
It was too symbolic for me and to see her go with Mels, her husband, on that boat. This David Gray song- Sail away with me honey- kept playing on and on and on and on in my head.
How romantic can it get?
You sail back with your husband after being away for a year...
Just you and the one you love, alone, with just the sea for 24-36 hours...on your way home...
Sigh...
