This is a picture I took in a brand new mall Cairo has acquired (less than a month ago). It is full of all the big brand names, including a Virgin megastore.Cairenes were there in large numbers enjoying eating out and shopping. Looks a bit like the Dubai airport. Having seen mostly Old Cairo and its history, this was too loud and bright for me. I have pictures of pyramids but they are on a 'non-digital' camera.I hope I can get them up on a CD soon.My last day here and it has been wonderful so far.I must write about the stuff I remember most about the place in another post...I am off to walk on the banks of the Nile and see the museum. Hopefully more pictures will be up soon.
